Biographical Text

Vince Carducci is Dean Emeritus at the College for Creative Studies and publisher of the blog Motown Review. His research interests include social issues and aesthetic practices in the field of cultural production, with a particular emphasis on Detroit; consumerism and its discontents; and planetary imaginaries and their mediation. He has written on arts, culture, politics, and media for many publications, including Art & Australia, Artforum International, Blackwell Literature Compass, Eye, Journal of Consumer Culture, Logos, New Art Examiner, Public Seminar, Radical Society, and Sculpture. He received the Kresge Arts in Detroit Literary Arts Fellowship in 2010.
